also the sprinting is annoying... oh, you get arty gliched by chance? that's always fun...... It was fun, don't think much of the players though, I was rank 3, hardly any unlocks and I went and won the game with 300 points surplus to the next player. Guess who was the only person arming the crates... I think I was a specialist the entire game (the one with the SMG and tracer dart, hadn't unlocked C4) It is fun but the graphics look a little muddy to me. The bullet damage is a little low as well, the SMGs take forever to kill but they do have 60 bullet mags... The maps are nicely bigger than BC2's and have a significant amount fewer chokepoints No I wasn't arty glitched, in fact I don't think I got killed by it once. Also sprinting, that did my head it. LS isn't the easiest button to press in the world, let alone holding it in the entire time you want to sprint (well, leisurely jog) The FOV is also far too low for my liking

| Yah, maps were win... Harvest Day and Oasis are evidence of that alone.... MP7 truly saved BC2 IMO... Well, Vietnam and Hastings too.... the funny thing is that Hastings is another classic map design..
You'd think they'd pick up on that.
Take Vantage Point for example... the concept of it... really simple... all they needed to do was make it wider, and maybe make the terrain a lil more navigable, and that map would have been twice as good. Still no Hastings, but a hell of a lot better with OPTIONS.
Battlefield is only battlefield because of the battlefields. the OPEN space. And the freedom to shape that battlefield

| That last point especially is something I feel was iconic about Battlefield that was lost a little in the Bad Company series.
The whole point of the original games was that they map and battle was constantly changing. An enemy suddenly sneaking past the defences and taking a flag much further up, creating a new spawn point and an entirely new battle front in the game made for dramatic turn arounds and change. Very clear fronts were formed in the game and just as in real life, you really did not want to be between two.
Then with (Gold) Rush came horribly linear maps. The march across the battle with the enemy know almost exactly where you would come from and little flanking or sneaking options made for much more static gameplay.
Even CQ on BC2 (haven't played BC1 CQ yet) was so linear with the exception of the few like Hastings etc. were also linear. It made for much less interesting overall battles when you knew what was going on. It was just like rush with the ability to take the flags back.
I really hope that BF3 will have a return to the maps that made BF so great.

| I have no pics, but the last joint on both of my thumbs goes in reverse. No BS, my thumbs can bend backwards at the last joint, it looks freaky to other people, but not to me since theyve always been like that.
Actually, the last joint on ALL my fingers is double jointed, but it doesnt look all that wierdish on my fingers, only the thumb really stands out.

| Black ops is effin fun. Modern Warfail 2 would of been a really fun game, i had fun when i played it, but it wasn't properly maintained and managed and there is some issues with iw and act right now. lets face it: Homefront looks gey and it will fail miserably. I haven't played it but i've seen the gameplay and the premise behind the game and i'm suspect. The story line is effin epic and i'm thinking it'll be like bf with team play and objectives but all i see was a bunch of effin drones. i can't see this game being good. i hope it is since i don't see myself playing bo for a whole year. also brink looks like a cod-esk type of game with restrictive 3 classes and tier weapons, i haven't looked much into it to be honest. there is a map-pack and an update schedule for bo in feb so that should be killer. Also MW3, if it was done right, would be bigger then bo. The games are fun, that's why they sell. Fun. Fun is what I want and what I will pay for. Fun with your mothers is free though. | |

| From what I've heard the new maps on BO are gonna be pretty fucking sick, with more interactions like the opening cargo doors.
I'm pretty happy the FPS market is finally expanding though, for too long we've had only one or two options and now so many more are coming out. The genre has been in a rut for a while.

My games arrived, but I learned last night that you don't have access to XBL when playing an original Xbox game. Thankfully I have a second, older 360. That way I can log onto XBL and talk to friends at the same time as playing Morrowind. With a 360/HDMI/42" TV this game looks surprisingly good. Not the character animations, but the world/environment is still engaging. They had raindrops on water effects back in 2002. To stay on topic ... so who needs Homefront.
