Yesterday I cancelled my pre-order for this. For whatever reason, it just doesn't pique my interest as much as does BRINK.

In the meantime I have Morrowind (and even an original Xbox) ordered. That should keep me occupied for quite a while ...

Won't it play on the 360? I thought it had backwards compatibility?

Or heck, Morrowind being from 2002 would play on the slowest of computers at max settings now-a-days as well. Even something for word processing and internet browsing.

360 can play OG xbox games... Nickle u can send it back... of course, the shipping prolly costs more lol

Yes, I know that the Morrowind will play on 360. However, those with an opinion seem to think loading times and such are a little faster on Xbox for Morrowind. And I only paid $50 for the Xbox ("like new", supposedly, but without the original box), so its not like I am spending a lot of money. If I don't like it as much as on 360, well, oops.

Mostly the purchase was an overreaction to the fact that I ordered the game last week, via Amazon, in a condition described as being "collectible". I got it (and the game guide my brother happened to have and sent to me) yesterday. Indeed, everything was in pristine condition. However, the game disc is damaged enough not to play (although visibly it looks good). So apparently "collectible" is not the same thing as "playable".

So last night I ordered another disc (much cheaper since I already have all the in-game-case documents) and I found a cheap Xbox. Now I will have options. I should have a playthrough completed before Skyrim gets here.

Gnarly, the newest PC I own (and I still *do* own it) is a 1995 Compaq notebook -- 256 shades of gray for the win!

I have MacBook Pro for more serious computing needs.

However, I wrote my dissertation on that computer. I don't really use it any more, but I have it and a functioning printer that I can still use with the complete MS suite from the same era (if I ever wanted to).

I just got a new computer in my office just before Christmas. I always have access to good PC technology at work, so I don't feel compelled to get it for home, too.

My MacBook gives me access to LogicPro, which is a great music creation/recording software (and why I got the Mac in the first place).

i'm not pre-ordering it. I was watching some youtube vids and it sounded suspect. There isn't a balance between classes or weapons really. They made it so everyone can do well, ie your input for loadouts and playstyle won't impact as much as say bc1 where a specialist can do well in cqc maps and an assault in mid-range maps.

Maybe i need to look into it more. I'm not really feeling it so far.

IMO it beats COD

It is fact. Every CoD game after CoD 3 has gone on to be the biggest selling FPS of all time.

(Pretty sure CoD2 sold better than 3 for example)
CoD4 sold massively, beaten by WaW, beaten by Modern Warfail 2, beaten by Blops

Its a trend, they could release a total pile of sugar now and people will still buy it in their masses.

Even visually Homefront looks like Modern Warfail 2/BO. Yuck. One thing it seems to be missing are any real teamplay aspects. The classes just seem to be different ways to kill. There is no "assault has ammo", "engineers can repair", "medics can heal".

I will be waiting for BRINK.

And BF3.

Black Ops is a pretty good game though, Modern Warfail 2 had a sugar ton of flaws and CoD 4 I didn't play as much as BC1/BC2/Modern Warfail 2/BO/1943 so I can't judge it as much. But IMO minus a few problems (and what games don't have some minor problems) BO is the best FPS to come out since before BC1. It's just a lot of fun and not as aggravating as Modern Warfail 2 was. The physics are great and the graphics are IMO way better than BC2's which seem undetailed to me. etc etc you've all heard my rants a billion times but I don't blame people for buying into the CoD series anymore.

I don't know for sure if I'll get MW3 yet because it is seeming pretty rushed at this point and I don't have a job so I can't afford to throw around 60 bucks several times a year. It's on the potential buy list like all the others.
