New CS game, its more a remake than a sequel, but it looks very good, still uses the old school mechanics like no ADS (except for snipers) and stuff.
Interesting thing about it, it will have cross platform multiplayer, but only forPS3, Mac and PC, 360 is on its own (lol @ 360 version, even Mac is supported for crossplatform). PS3 version will accept mouse and keyboard input like UT3 so it shouldnt be a total one sided slaughter, although I wonder if aim assist will be present for controller users...

You won't stand a chance... trust me.
Shadowrun tried and failed to do console/PC cross platform gaming and it proved a MASSIVE failure

True, but like I said, it has M+K support and I used to game on the PC. Majority of ps3 players will get slaughtered, but those who played UT3 and used the M+L setup should have a good chance.
I like the fact that theres no ADS, too many games trying to be realistic these days, always room for a good old school shooter in the market.

ADS isn't realistic..... it's IMMERSIVE.
huge difference.
no ADS is a MASSIVE shortcomming to any modern shooter. Actually, prolly #1 reason I don't like gaylo

ADS is realistic, your mimmicking what a soldier would do in real life when aiming and firing their weapon as oppose to hip firing enemies like rambo, which they do not do.

Because ADS is now generic and overused.
Like I said, this is mainly a remake, its not trying to revolutionise the industry. Team Fortress 2 took a similar approach and become one of the most popular FPS games on PC.

Nostalgia is overrated....
seriously... nostalgia... WITH VIDEO GAMES....
gimme a fuckin break... the concept itself is fucking absurd.
Go back and play fuckin pong and pacman then you retards.
Video games are all about advancement in technology... this "nostalgia" bs is about as dumb as calling games "art" forms. (zomg, Limbo was artistic cause it was a story of a boy trapped in the afterlife and... no, just fucking no... it's a cool styled black and white game so you feel obliged to attribute some bullshit artistic quality to it.
Gamers are getting on my fuckin nerves these days... old and new. Old cause they are stuck in the past. New cause they're just fucking ignorant tools.
And they are all trying to justify games as something greater then they are.
Video games are NOTHING more then a big fat (tho fun) waste of your time that WOULD be better spent doing almost anything else (that doesn't involve your TV)

You get worked up about not having a ADS, berate people who have a different opinion, then package it all nicely as a fun waste of time?
Wow, Ronin. Ease up on the politician throttle.

lmao
Obviously they have a market... or they wouldn't have done it
I just can't believe some ppl actually prefer it that way. Enough to tote the LACK of ADS as a FEATURE.
I was mildly interested in CS when I first saw they were remaking it.... but I really don't think I'll ever play a shooter without aiming... it just seems so counter intuitive.
And yah... I shoulda been a politician lmfao

To each their own, I guess. Never really could get into CS due to it being a twitch shooter and taking advantage of the algebraic formulas on how the bullets spread the more you hold the trigger.

I've been mildly interested in CS and TF for a lil while now....
They have some good fun concepts on earning upgrades within the round... (Shadowrun used it too actually... though also suffers from lack of ADS though when it was made, as when CS was made, it wasn't quite standard yet)
I know CS isn't the only one... there are other, stroyline type shooters that don't use ADS... Bioshock for example doesn't I don't think... but I've never been interested in any of them.
Quite frankly, if LT does anything but aim, I usually immediately forget about a game

I wasn't obliged, I just did.
And games should become an art, most likely will be. It doesn't make them worse, just like films becoming an art didn't make them worse.

hah
I'm not restricted to only games that are reliant on a twitch trigger though...
I do have a far wider range of gaming skills including RPG, strategy, platforming, and, to a lesser extent, sports and fighting.
I just have standards for those games.
