How do you fuck someone up on D2?

the PvP is usually just a matter of who can clik the oher person one time first, which comes down to lag (if Im lagging, you wont appear on my screen until its too late and I never have a chance to click youir little dude.) I used to play this a LOT. More than I played any other game. Probably combined. lol.

I had several mule accounts with godlies, had all sorts of 90+ characters. Mainly played bone necromancers for pvp.

I suggest you hack. At high levels you can expect everyone to hack. All the Baal runs are run by bots, and everyone gets pickit to steal the bot's drops, and everyone who is really into PVP will hack. Don't play WookieMode because people will TPPK you (a hack where they instantly shoot some area of effect spell, town portal up, and declare hostility, in the span of a second, so the stuff they shot - usually a druid will do this with tornados - rapes you before you can avoid it).

What I found the most fun, near the end, was LLD/MLD and Iron man runs. LLD is low level dueling, MLD is mid level. Low level is usually characters level 9 to 20. MLD is 21-40. But that's vague. You can have a lot of fun. I had a javazon somewhere around level 20 who could easily kill even 60+ers built for dueling. Iron man duels are very fun. You play WookieMode and start with a blank level 1 character. You and several other people play as normal, except (usually) no going to town. When everyone hits level 9, you duel. So it's all about what you pick up while you're down there. And it doesn't involve weeks of preparation where you perfectly level a powerful character, every specific attribute calculated, every item worn with the max possible stats that item could have... etc. You just go in a group, level up, and when duels become available, you hope you picked the best stuff up.

If you're gonna hack (and I think you should, because fucking everyone does, with damn near no exceptions) get RedVex, although that might not be safe anymore. It's a standalone hack that has dozens of plugins that are extremely useful, from pickit to maphack to various duel hacks and some annoying ones that make people's screen flash and stuff. And get a macro hack too so you can load %s on the screen real fast and have some fancy hack text ready and pretend to be hacking people you want to leave your game.

I stopped playing a few years ago. Everything has timed out. And I can't stand the game now. I got every frickin' line of dialogue memorized.

Diablo 1 was the game I poured into.... I played D2 a fair bit too, but never the extent I whored D1... I built a legit character who could kill hacked characters... he had like 27 HP, everyone thought he was hacked but he was the only legit char left lmao.

It was a great genre for it's time....

Fido, you got to a point in that game where shit wasnt worth a fuck anymore.

baal runs by bots, pvp hacking, hacking period.

When I played, I just chillaxed my way through the game, picked up what I picked up, rarely traded, and I never even beat hell mode.

In the time it might take a faggot whos just grinding to make 3 level 80 characters, I might get one guy up to level 45, and then just never play that char again, move onto something different.

Kinda like what Ive been doin since yesterday.

Found the game was installed on this computer, made an account, playes yesterday, playing tonight.

So far my efforts have yielded a level 25 paladin with a couple of mediocre rare items and 2 or 3 low level uniques.

After I beat act 5 Ill either start on another character or (more likely) just stop playing again, and probably never play it again unless something completely random happens where i end up dabbling with it, like now.

Hmm, I've got my old D2 codes.... just need to redownload the ISO's cause my discs are shot.

Maybe I'll do that... not a bad game to play with friends, but since the gerneral community is pretty much exactly as Fido described it, I haven't been interested in games with cheating randoms in years.

Well now the game is made of advertising, I have found.

You make or join a game, and it just gets SWAMPED with bots advertising for you to buy items from their websites.

You'll get literally 5 or 6 of them at once joined at the same instant, FLOOD the screen so you cant see shit, leave, 5 more join, same deal, you have to TP out and start squelching.

They're mostly all level 1s, so what you do is make a level restriction on your game so no level 1 characters can join. Otherwise you are gonna get fucking swamped all the time you are playing.

And I might not be playing anymore anyway.

Let me explain then.

My dad is actually a fucking genius with a ridiculous IQ and all that good stuff.

And he can build a fucking computer, and he knows all about them, sure.

But hes ALSO a bumbling dumbfuck.

Like a real life version of the abscent minded professor. Hes smart as hell but he fucks up so much doing unneccesary dumb shit for no reason it counterbalances everything.
