The New Patch

The bugfixes are fucking hilarious.

The highlights of "How the fuck does this game exist" are

Fixed bug where you couldn’t deploy the mortar anywhere on Grand Bazaar.
The L96 now properly shoots where the iron sights are aimed. The position was previously offset.
Fixed so that the arming of an M-COM station will not be cancelled if you look at a dropped weapon.
Fixed exploit where you could teleport to the AA gun on carriers by firing an EOD bot at its door.


remember, guns may not shoot where the're pointing, don't look at guns while arming, and try aiming the EOD bot at shit.

Well, comparing apples to oranges, but the musket and smoothbore weapons (worn down or intentionally) in general are quite inaccurate past 100 meters.

Yes, but not generally modern sniper rifles.

Especially since it seems like every weapon has a match-grade barrel.

M26 dart is fixed and input lag is decreased even more. ECM is fixed too. This patch made it much better. I could actually play decently, win shootouts again and so on.

I have to say, the new patch has made this game fun again. It just feels tight, and fun. Most of the balance issues I had trouble with are now gone as well! HUZZAH!

not really... Domination is practically the same (just count down enemies counter CQ style instead of gaining points to a set score). The maps are about the same size. It's 8v8. Spawn is random points but has squad spawn. Other mode is 'Gun Master' which is also a copy of CoD's newest mode.

To be fair, CoD did not of course invent either Domination or gun master game modes.... they came out back in the day in either Quake or Unreal..... can't remember which. Prolly Unreal.

Still, for recent games, the new DLC is unquestionably more like CoD (with kits instead of kill streaks) than anything else.

Not a bad thing IMO... I'll enjoy it... looks frantic and fun and I don't need more than 4 well made COD maps anyways.

What I am really looking forward to though is Armored Kill DLC.

I'm also going PC... not getting premium on console.

Well, I just refer to anything that's a mix of CoD and Battlefield as Bad Company.

I'm used to rolling in full squads now and I'll be fucked if I'm going into a 64 player server lonewolfing.

When I play BF3 solo, the ONLY thing I can stand to do is fly a Jet.... and it's still hit or miss depending on who else is flying. If I've got crap teammates and I'm going against 2 good pilots, the only thing I can hope to do is just keep them busy... and if it's not a scrimm/match, fuq that

I've got 4 clanmates who'v all gone PC recently, then there's you and skresh, and a couple other guys I've kept in touch with through other means so hopefully I'll usually have some peeps to squad with.

Though really... I can't wait for PS2 And Firefall And MWO/Hawken and GRO too even prolly

I think Gnarly doesn't like me though. I rage too much and curse the VOIP system BF3 uses.

Yeah, the mics on Bf3 are so shitty... I stopped bothering to find/charge my mic. We went full on Skype. Nothing else anymore.

Fuck the new patch. I still automatically lose 90% of all face up gunfights due to enemies with 10,000% health who survive noobtoobs and rockets directly to the chest. And my ecm and flares still work absolutely 0% of the time and not 0% as in"they fail sometimes and it makes me mad" but 0% as in they have literally no function at all, ever, under any circumstance.

Same here, 1v1 gunfights I always lose but since this patch I've been doing much better, I can go 30/5 again on foot whereas before I was lucky to get 16/12. The trick is to deal with enemies in one of two ways:

1) If behind them, kill them
2) If face to face, runjumpsprintwaddle away and repeat
