BF3 is worth $30

Barely. Just barely.

I'm enjoying it, got about 9 hours in. I've gotten used to the weapon handling and I haven't really noticed that much input lag, and when I did it wasn't nearly as bad as at my friend's house. Vehicles are all pretty good. Tanks kick ass, the Amtrak is just a beast when used properly, I still can't really fly but I've seen good pilots tear shit up.

Shit that's annoying: High contrast and glare effects, getting revived and instantly dying again before you even get up, shotguns with 12G explosive rounds, IRNV scope, getting killed around corners, and some other shit.

The maps though, the maps suck ass. Honestly I don't even have a favorite map because they're all pretty fuckin bad. Tehran Highway is the closest thing I have to a favorite map, it's actually pretty good when everyone isn't spamming IRNV. Hopefully Back to Karkand doesn't suck.

It's not worth $60 but for $30 it's pretty damn good. Waiting to see how long I can play it before I get bored.

Meh, I'm happy with the 60 I spent on it. Much happier in fact, than the 60 I spent on MW3. Also equally happy with the 60 I spent on Skyrim.

It's a damn good game that everyone feels the need to nitpick the fuck out of it due to how over-hyped it was.

Idk about $60 but I know Amp and everyone else who was saying it's a piece of shit are fuckin whiners. It's a good game, I'm kinda surprised that I liked it after all the shit I heard here.

But it's good, and if the B2K maps are good then I'm probably gonna spend as much time on it that I spent on BC2.

@Skresh I can't afford a fuckin gaming PC. I'm sure it's 10x better on PC but Im way too broke for that.

Fuck that the game is now worth 13 pennies for their awesome patch, which only really fixes one major issue (invincibility glitch)

Caspian & Kharg are good maps.....

sucks when you have nothing but spawn sitters on your team waiting on the jets.... but the maps themselves are pretty good actually. though the Roof on Delta flag is fuckin annoying. They shoulda added a ladder.

Firestorm is ok sometimes... though a lot les inspired than either the other 2.

Metro is a mess... idk wtf they were thinking.

Seine is a mortar & mav spammers wet dream but you can have some good infantry fighting there

Bazaar.... pretty dumb map really... just avoid the main corridor and it's a lot more fun. Run around the side and come back in at the main corridor from behind the enemy for fun Smile

Oh yah, and getting revived doesn't cost you a death or anything... if you get shot before you have a chance to accept... nbd.... you just go back to spawn screen. Nothing happens. If you accept the revive... your death is removed (killer keeps kill) so even if you die right away.... you're still not out anything.

I'm totally happy with the $60 I spent on it.... tho for now I'm not doing much besides Skyrim.... and I'm really happy with the $40 that ran me. but shit... I've already put 60+ hours into BF3, so its hit its value mark already. ($1/hr... my baseline cost comparison for any video game)

If RU takes 'B' it just becomes the same meat grinder you get in rush at the 3rd base... in other words... the WORST meat grinder on any level ever made....

only, being in CQ.... and down a flag... you're on the clock... vs Rush where at least time isn't ALSO against you... and pushing through resets your ticket count even.

US holding B isn't quite as bad.... but then, it's a Rush map designed the other direction so it's not really surprising.
