@Alyss: It will be the other way around.

@Fido: Have you ever had a good long conversation with a crazy homeless person? They can keep you entertained. I talked with a good one in California a few years back. Everything he said was a lie, and it was all 20x more interesting than anything anyone else I knew at the time had to say.

I would provide my input to the conversation (maybe where I was from, or my opinion on something,) and he would spin it off into a story of his own, just making it up as he went, and it all sounded possible and awesome.

Nah I'm not on that great terms with the homeless. I don't know any around here and the ones in Europe tend to be annoying and beggar-y.

Yea beggars are fkin annoying, but not all homeless people are beggars.

Lots of homeless people, you wouldnt even know they were homeless on first glance, they are just regular dudes, with big beards and no house and lots of cool stories.

I meant homeless as in the scruffy bum type. I've been homeless for a stretch of like 3 months at one point. Homeless by definition, anyway.

Being unwelcome at your family home and living with friends doesnt count.

Basically, if you can get a shower once every 2 or 3 days, you arent homeless IMO, even if you are sleeping in your car or on some buddy's couch. If thats the case, everyones been homeless at one point or another.

But you probably were literally homeless, unwashed and pushing a shopping cart full of bullsht down the highway.

When I moved to PA we were homeless technically since we didn't own a house and my mom (I was 15 at the time) didn't have a job. We just stayed in hotels while my mom found a job and then a place to rent and then when we completely got settled we found a house. Technically homeless.

Then also every now and then my mom will get a divorce and we'll have to live in hotels again but the last time that happened was a while ago.

So yeah, that qualifies as homeless for the government, basically they mean "having no specific place to stay for extended periods of time."

yah, I've been "homeless" a few times..... but I always had a couch, or at least floor, to sleep on, a shower to use, and food to eat.
