Its some anime-mecha themed MMO im playing in my quest to find a decent F2P sci-fi MMORPG. So far its been one of the better ones. Only played like 3 hours so far, its doesnt seem all that bad as far as these free mmo types go, its nothing special, but it looks like I could burn some time on it. Graphics are dated but so is my computer, still is pretty nice looking though, its one of those 2D/3D crossbreed type deals, 3D characters on 2D backgrounds. Unfortunately like most asian MMOs all the NPC characters look like their 8 year olds but you only see that it when interacting thank god.
The experience rate is ridiculously high, I ranked up 30 levels in 1-2 hours of gameplay, with each ranking up having a huge firework display animation that totally blinds you from whats going on. And inbetween that you get some random guy popping up on half of your screen yelling COMBAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!11111111111111111111 whenever your special bar charges up, which is like every 10 minutes.
AI is pretty dumb, and the Ranged weapons are hugely overpowered, you can literally slaughter entire mobs of NPCs at level 1 with ranged weapons. According to reviews though, it levels out the more you progress in the game.
Interface is pretty nice, although lack of keyboard input is a let down, you can only bring stuff up like inventory, equipment items etc... through using the interface, only a handful of powers can be mapped to keyboard. It does have a nice auto-navigate system which basically allows you to use auto-pilot to navigate to areas of importance i.e. cities, quest NPCs, weapon stores etc...
The translation is pretty well done compared to other asian MMOs, but its still full of lol, e.g. having a level 30 character using lower level/weak shit weaponry means you are showing signs of "impotency". Unfortunately theres not a lot in the way of a tutorial so the learning curve is steaper than it should be, there are items you can loot of dead corpses but are given almost no indication to what to do with them to learn what they are.
Overall, its lies between "meh" and "pretty good for a F2P game". Not a game I can see myself playing a lot currently, but it looks like its got potential and should be more fun once I get the hang of things. The player base is pretty high and the Devs continually support and update the game. Serious MMO players are better off on Rift/Anarchy Online/EVE and all that jazz, but if your just looking for a MMO you can pop in and out of, its pretty okay.
