Massive earthquake (8.4) 20 miles off of tokyo that first shook the shiz outta tokyo, following with a devastating tsunami wave

Yeah it's apparently pretty bad. I got on yesterday at 3 AM after I heard about it and Moony's comment was just "TSUNAMI." She said there was basically just panic, everyone on phones, evacuating, and that they were supposed to get a 2 meter tsunami in an hour and a half. Which woulda been at 4:30 or something like that EST. Must've been scary as hell.

Japan's been getting hit by earthquakes a lot recently, it's probably not over yet. This one was worst yet and let's hope it doesn't go up any higher...

There is a LOT of activity all along the ring of fire belt for the last couple weeks.... if it keeps up, Japan could be just the beginning.

Looking at the deep sea trenches.... thank god I live in the part of the belt I do, with the most amount of distance to any trenches in the ring of fire as possible (and be on the Ring's coast)

I've never been one to pay much attention to seismic activity.... despite living in cali.... they just come and go at times, and nothing ever REALLY major (89 was big... but I actually didn't even feel it)

Now though.... I think I might watch to see if the activity trickles down or not along the ring.... Think I also need to go restock on my canned goods and water O.o

My thoughts go out to those guys over there in Japan and everywhere else that Tsunmai hit. It was pretty scary to watch on the news this morning o___o.

If anything hits Newfoundland like that, we are pretty much all drowned and sunk, there would be nothing left to this little place. Thankfully we don't get stuff like that over here though.

Yeah my senpai's house was hit by the wave, and she and all her family were killed. Everyone is sheltering at the village temple, which is on high ground. Looking down, I can see the water all around us in the valley below. Even though there are kawaii little fishes bobbing about, I have no home left! DOUSHIO?!
