CoD:BO Weapons Stats sticky

why do all the guns do like the same amount of damage

because it is CoD....and for balance...there are really only 2 types of variation between damage for each weapon type. They vary with recoil and overall handling. Better way to balance a game than changing damage with a very low health game

^This. Does make everything feel pretty samey though...doesn't help that most of the irons are identical too. CoD 4 was good like that, every gun felt quite different. Still the best CoD, I think.

What do the green lines mean? Is that with a suppressor?

yep, with suppressor, Just makes the weapons at-range damage happen sooner

Not at all....you guys have no idea what you are talking about...The range damage drop happens anyways!! It hardly changes a thing!

The suppresor adds at most 1 extra bullet for a kill. For a skilled player (like me (yeah right) lol) that shouldn't be a problem.

and that guy had the same basic chart for bc2 btw.

no it doesnt! It is the SAME DAMAGE, SAME BULLETS TO KILL AT RANGE, it just brings the range at which the damage drop happens a bit closer....

there are 2 damages for each weapon, close, and far.... there is no special suppressor damage that is less

If you see me, and i see you, and you have a suppressor on, i guarantee you will lose the gunfight. Silencers suck balls, unless you are point blank they put you at a disadvantage and if you're point blank it doesnt matter if you come up on the minimap anyways. People who use them are the people who need the illusion of "i am a ninja durr" and think that they are being sneaky. No matter how sneaky you think you are, kill cam + call out = you're .

And if you are getting headshots like you SHOULD BE a suppressor does not matter. It helps you more than it hurts. I play to make every bullet I shoot count, I dont spray and run around like a retard, I place my shots. It conserves ammo as well...and with the length of lifes I usually get I need all the ammo I can get ,even with dual mags

CoD is all about shooting before your enemy sees you with such low health...that is how you win the game.

Suppressors work to my playstyle, I do much MUCH worse without a supressor on. ALWAYS in CoD4, Modern Warfail 2 and Black ops it is how it is for me.

I play very precise and meticulous, going for better position on my enemies over anything else. That is how I go really positive and in my experience I ALWAYS beat anybody playing a fast run and gun style because I am shooting at them before they know what happend since the time it reacts to put your bullets where you want them to go when you run around alot is longer than when I am moving from corner to corner, checking lies of sight, and watching my mini map to always get behind the enemy team.

I also ALWAYS go in the opposite direction of my teamates since they are great distractions and also give my position away. Is there a firefight going on over there? i go the other way, get around the back and kill the entire team, switch the spawns...rinse repeat. I usually am the one that single handed switches spawns every time in the games I play.

that is NOT camping, I move around quite alot I just go for the most advantageous positions. Camping is sitting in the same area waiting for a kill, I do not do that

I am surprised that they didn't include the SPAS with a suppressor.

The only thing firing your gun does is attract the enemy. Fire the death machine a few times and see the enemies come running in like moths to a fire.
