| The old one got deleted by the auto-prune o' doom, just thought I'd make another one out of boredom, and because I started playing it again.
Damn Heavy Charge glitch.

| Hmm I am slightly worried that this may not be the place for this kind of post (seeing as the thread is filled with pictures) but I'm gonna post it anyway.
I am kind of thinking that the only way I will be satisfied with the end of the series is with the reapers wiping us out... the story they've made so far made them seem like a completely impossible foe encountered under circumstances which are equally impossible (the fact that nobody believes they are real & are not preparing for the invasion). I think one of the best endings would be sort of like how the protheans reacted to the Reaper invasion by making sure that future races would be warned about reapers and the threat they pose, only this time we would do it better (The main reason we would do it better though would be thanks to the protheans and their warning in the first place). and in the prologue it would show a brand new species stumbling upon the evidence we left behind, I think that would be awesome. (Hopefully they have the dignity to end the series here and not cash out on the money cow with spin offs etc., but the odds on that are slim).
I mean think about it, a complete surprise attack by millions of ships (any one of which is twice as large as any vessel that any space-faring species currently has) each boasting millions of years of technological superiority (the derelict reaper you land on in ME2 is said to be around 37 million years old, they may be even older).
Along with a host of many other advantages that they have which I am too lazy to come up with and list.
If we actually manage to defeat the reapers; Bioware's story team will have to come up with an extremely plausible series of events in which that outcome will be realized, it can't be some willy-nilly "OMG Sheperd and his/her team created a virus that somehow harms a civilization of Hyper-advanced AI who are millions of years ahead of us in nearly every respect!" or some cheap cop-out like that (and tbh I can't think of any scenario in which we would win that wouldn't feel like a cop out).
Just to re-iterate: Bioware's story team will need to be Amazing to come up with a convincing and seemingly plausible series of events if they plan on us winning the war against the reapers. If they manage to pull it off, it will probably be one of the best stories (video game or not) in history. Although my prediction for a good ending at the beginning of my post will be just as great imo. My hopes on a good ending are slim after DAII though.

| I think the ending will depend drastically on your choices in the other 2 games.
Example: If you saved the Rachni, chances are that they're built up a considerable army, and will be willing to help you. Keeping Wrex alive will gain the support of the Krogan.
It only took a relatively few amount of ships to take out Sovereign (the most powerful of the reapers). Also, they are not millions of years ahead of us in terms of technology, they GAVE us their technology so we could advance on the path they wished, making it easier to take us out.
One ending that wouldn't feel like a cop out (off the top of my head, not much thought put into it): After fighting a losing battle, with every race on its last legs, Shepard makes the ultimate sacrifice, utilising the Normandy's stealth systems to sneak into the middle of the Reapers, before detonating the drive core (remember, the thing's fudge huge).
But as I said, just off the top of my head, would feel a bit cliché, but sometimes cliché is good.

Keeping Wrex alive will gain the support of the Krogan.
I'd enjoy seeing the Krogans reaction to 1: the fact that Rachni are still alive & 2: the fact that they are on our side. The indignity they would suffer will be epic.

The indignity they would suffer will be epic. That would be an excellent plot point, and would make Wrex even more important than he already is, as without him, the other Krogan leader probably wouldn't side with Shepard because of the Rachni, forcing you to make a choice. Whereas if Wrex was still alive, chances are he'd side with Shepard no matter what, on account of all they've been through together, and because Wrex is badass like that.

I haven't played any of 'em, need to get some Bioware points... There's a new one out, it's named "Arrival"... Was released last week me thinks. ...So that makes 7 (?) DLCs? ...Haven't played Shadow Broker or Arrival.

| You haven't played SB? Rofl, that's the best DLC they ever released! Arrival is a nice little addition in terms of plot, but SB is just fudge awesome all the way through. | |

| I was thinking about buying all DLC (not the appearance pack shit, the good stuff) for ME2 when I got some money, but after I wasted my hard earned cash on DAII I started boycotting Bioware and its products.
I just looked up spoilers and stuff about the shadow broker DLC on the wiki because the story is all I care about anyway.
I'm gonna rent ME3 and if it's good enough Ill buy it.
