I actually REALLY like this concept...

funding by the people who you're actually building the project for.

That said... ZERO interest in point and click adventure game, so I will not be supporting this even though I think it's a really cool idea.

But yah... no publishers or financiers making judgment calls based on their own greed and interpretation of what the markets want? Sounds like a bloody dream.

This could really be good for indie development and niche game types that publishers and lenders don't want to risk supporting.

For sure, I have no interest in the game either, but they raised those funds pretty fucking quickly, the possibilities are amazing, just think a video game actually made for fans of a game without having the cock eating publishers involved

The Kickstarter idea overall is a great one, even if its mostly used to produce products for iDevices
