Meh...

I'll play it more today. Tanks are very op and disabling them makes me sick. Way to rob me of my only joy for this game!

I still don't like the clunky movement. I'll review this in more detail after i spend a lot of time playing it today. I've been swamped with irl ish :/

Looking forward to MW3 forsure though. Love what you guys done to the site, looks much cleaner.

I just got it in the post an hour ago, booted up SP...its so fucking bright? Its like the whiteout/sandstorm bullshit on BC2 atacama desert but everywhere. Havent touched MP yet because I know its going to be broken as fuck for the first week, but i liked the beta.

Campaign seems okay, but its already making me rage, died 5 times trying to get some shitty LMG whilst half the terrorist army came down the road with AKs and RPGs.

campaign is garbo... only played a couple full mish when the servers were down on day 1. Last night the servers were pretty good... had a couple with rubber-banding.. but that happens sometimes trying to find a server with people across the states. (Pro-tip: DON'T MATCHMAKE... use server browser, filter servers for ur groups region... set players to 15+ and once the list is complete, scroll UP to go to the bottom of the list. Join a game with less players (16-18) so your squad sticks together and look for 4, preferably 5 bar ping.

Wanton... don't hate... you just need to put more time in.

Vehicles aren't really OP TBH... they are more powerful in some ways though (that extra buffer of vehicle disable for 1... but a disabled vehicle really is a metal coffin)

Oh yah... and CQ no longer repeats maps just to make you play both sides...

You play RU or US on a map... then you go to a new map and play the other faction.

TDM sucks..... What a spawn camp fest THAT game was.... fucking Island map... jesus I spawned in less then 10 seconds after the start of the match (Was in customization) and the enemy team had our spawn surrounded up on the rafters and in corners and shit.... If I didn't spawn into direct fire, I couldn't go around a single corner without getting engaged... HELLA stupid. Some maps might work better but TDM looks like pure spawn camping garbage. I think Infantry Only Conquest would be preferable for pretty much the same thing.

Rush is sick... they fixed the rules. You MUST arm/disarm the crates... no cheap UAV C4 BS. Arming a crate is worth 100 points... a destroy is 500! Disarms are 200 (I think..)

Point is, the points are there to get people to play it right... mostly... Did have a game against a team of idiot snipers naturally Rolling Eyes Steamrolled em but it was feckin annoying to steam roll a team and barely make 1.0 k/d

MOST maps are pretty bad ass. Metro and Davamand peak are 2 of the worst IMO (talkin CQ here... the real mans mode) Zharg Island is beast. Firestorm and Caspian are both great.


Anyways, fuck Modern Warfail 2.5... I'll pass on that stupid super soldier kill streak system kthxbai.

Seriously? You get 8 kills and have ALL the perks?

WTF were they thinking?

The first 2 packages actually sound reasonably balanced.... They shoulda did something different than the super soldier kit... only people who can't get kill streaks won't take it (and they'll just take support where their streaks don't get reset for death)

Ronnie, you get 8 kills and all the perks are activate true. You don't get an killstreaks and is meant for the solo lone wolfers. It is also unlocked real late so it won't be a big deal. Also you get all the perks but your not invincible, you'll can still get merked from the back or to a random grenade.

it'll only be advantageous in 1 v 1 gunfights where you'd have all the perks like soh, quickdraw, assassin...etc but if you get around a corner and you face 2-3 people at once your good as dead. period.

MW3 will be really fun. They're taking Modern Warfail 2 and improving on it. Just like what BC2 should of been, except they made it a whole different game. MW3 is definitely going to be better. The whole new kill streak system has been re-worked and all the op annoying things in Modern Warfail 2 have been completed deleted. There is value added content. New game modes, weapons, objective play is encouraged and rewarded and ks are always fun to get and use.

BF3 made some changes to but I didn't like the look and feel of the beta. It might be something I need to get used to. As for tanks; they are overpowered. period. I know no one wants to hear that word or phrase but it's as true and fact. They take a shit load of rpgs to take out...errr...disabled...where the driver can bounce out. Their fire power is godly strong. I know it's a 120 shell, but what was wrong with the tanks of bc1/2?

I understand that tanks shouldn't be taken out by 1 engineer but they shouldn't take 3-4 engineers because the fact is a dude like me who plays solo most of the time and knows the a typical bf player is a try-hard snipzorszez so i don't need to worry about this op vehicle mashing my base. not only that, attackers get like 10 tanks and defenders get 1...i like the lock on stinger a-la Modern Warfail 2 for jets and the uselessness of the recon class and their equipment.

Don't attack tanks from the front brah... that's ur problem

1 RPG to the rear will disable those fuckers.

2 to the side

Like 4-6 to the front... and they usually get repaired while fighting that way making them all but invincible.

Frontal assault on tanks is suicide and not good for anything other than distracting the tank so a teammate CAN flank it.... (or... in my case... so *I* can flank it.... fire at front, disappear around corner, while tank is hunting for me pop out behind and disable the fucker)

Tanks SHOULD be powerful honestly... they're fuckin tanks. They actually feel like tanks now IMO. They can still be taken out with a lil effort.

Like I said... C4 ftw Cool

You just need more equipment... I bet the Javelin will help against those pesky tanks as well... I haven't even unlocked that yet. Just got my EOD bot though.

and brah... DON'T PLAY ALONE! I'm on ALL the fuckin time man, join up. We'll squash these n00bs. game is 10x better with a squad.

brah, i'll play it tonight and we'll see how it goes.

everyone that's talked to me about it and played have said that tanks are the way to go. they have games going 30/2, 22/0 sitting in a tank lobbing 120 shells.

and i'm sure i'm no nub and wouldn't be jacking rpgs in front of a tank. i'm the motherfurkin anti-tank. i raped on them in bc1 with c4 and raped on them in bc2 with rpg's and at4 guiding like a boss. the fact is the disable shit is stupid, if the dbag can sit in a tank all day and rack up 30 kills he shouldn't be able to peace out with a disable he should die in his tank!

i am thrilled to finally run around with a pp2k and c4, so i'll be doing that a lot. and i do go solo cause when i get on my euro buds are out cold and the rest of my fl is west coast so they're 10pm is my 12pm

I think you're exaggerating it, Wanton. Granted, it's kind of weak and annoying that they get a jail-free card, but there's also a couple things to point out:

    1) It's always disorientating to hop out of the tank. I don't care if you've done it a million times, nobody has the kind of reflex to instantaneously hop out and zero you in.

    2) Depends where they bail out too. If it's out in the open, in the middle of a field, they're easy pickings. Granted, they can hide and try to scurry for some cover, but the wookies (and the tank demo) will most likely drop them before they can escape.
    If it's an enclosed area (say a street with building on both sides, for example,) they're already in a bad spot. Multiple places to flank them, ambushes, choke points. And when they do bail out, the only option they have is to scurry in a possibly inhabited building or die in the open.

Also... tanks EXPLODE now...

You can blow up a disabled tank... and even if hes on the other side of the tank from where your RPG hits the explosion will kill them (both gotten kills and been killed due to this)

Game is bad, would be good if 90% of the players wern't in a vehicle and/or recon...
Remove recon class from the fucking game ffs respawn becons and bushwooking is fucking retarded. Game would be good if it wasn't 24 players playing on 64 player maps. spend more then half my time running around looking for people on a ghost town.

I'm sure the game is wonderful on PC, i'll eventually pick up a copy of it, but on console this game is a joke. The only two maps worth playing are Demevavavand Peak and Metro

I liked the game a lot the first day I played it, but I already feel like I'm getting bored of it. Plus, all the randoms are finding out the best way to play like faggots now, and are starting to ruin the experience.

DEF not the problem on PC

How many vehicles do they have on each map per team on consoles? hell, PC has like 4 tanks, 2 choppers 2 jets and a bunch of buggies and there are STILL 10 people left to hoof it or more

That sounds about right for Caspian on consoles, but I've only played it a few times. I swore each team got like 3 tanks. It might be just one jet and one chopper.

Firestorm has (per HQ) 3 tanks, cpl buggies, 2 helos (attack + transport), and 2 fighter jets.

There are also some buggies out at the flags... maybe a tank or 2 as well... not sure entirely

Everyone can literally be in a vehicle

But.... that's not a bad thing on a VEHICLE MAP. Firestorm is bad ass.

Kill count is down in CQ... it's more about holding more flags now. Especially with vehicle disables now.

Sorry i don't enjoy a pace of play that rakes in an impressive <1 kill per minute. I want fast paced, not hide and seek every1 is in a vehicle bullshit. I like a game with skill gap, and bf3 does not have one.

@Gnarly; the vehicles are just as numerous on our side, but with way less people it is fucking retarded. Maps are made for 32v32 but playing out with 12v12.

Actually... Same as PC 32 player server... not their 64 player server.

Try harder.

Also... I've never had < 1 KPM on CQ unless I was flying or using mortar or something like that.

Rush mode is also HELLA better than BC2's.... I'm actually liking rush again.

No idea wtf you just said but, going by your list;
3 tanks, thats 6 people in tanks
2 jets, thats 2 people in jets
an attack helo, thats 2 people

Can you do the math, or should i? 10/12 people per team in a vehicle, as i had stated. Maps are too big for 12v12, it's pathetic. Peak and metro are the only 2 playable maps
