Nothing really, Euphoria is the animation engine, R(ockstar)A(dvanced)G(ame)E(engine) is the game engine. I can't put my finger on it but something about the whole look of the game didn't appeal to me... That could be changed with a different art direction or different engine. The whole grainy/blur thingy when looking into the distance and the character faces were just eeewww. Then again, the grain/blur thingy is there because of the hardware limitations, not because the devs wanted to put it there.

| Yeah, you're right there. I thought you wanted Euphoria gone lol. That defined GTA IV for me, the ragdoll physics. GTA IV looked beautiful when it came out but then after a while it just looked out of focus and fabricated. But if you walk around in single player, the detail and amount of shit going on makes that feeling go away. I feel that way anyway.
I think GTA IV with DLC was the best GTA so far. At first, during vanilla GTA IV I thought otherwise, that San Andreas had more fun stuff going on and that Vice City and III had the flavor/themed feeling going better. But Ballad of Gay Tony added that tank and the chopper mayhem we all felt was lacking, crazy overpowered guns and so on, the stuff you can really use to rip the game to shreds at the expense of realism (fuck realism, it's GTA!). And The Lost and Damned just rocked VC and III on the grit and immersion.

| Euphoria is really cool but there's one annoying thing, you fall down even from the slightest bump when you're crossing traffic or whatnot. I didn't get any of the GTA IV DLCs, usually I get DLCs just for extra achievements (Fallout 3 & NV), GTA IV had fairly hard and time demanding achievements so I couldn't be arsed. I got the one man army and the other high wanted level achievement with complete luck... Crashed with a bike and landed on a subway bridge where the cops couldn't see and couldn't reach me. I was like "Problem?" IMO San Andreas was the best GTA in terms of fun. | |

| That's a serious problem in multiplayer too. You can kidnap someone by bumping them repeatedly and keeping them lying down, when friendly fire is off and you do no serious damage you can steal their player for a minute or two before they actually die from all the ground impacts.
SA was the same to me until the Ballad DLC became available on PS3. You get noobtubes, pararchuting, a TOTALLY destructive tiny helicopter that will kill anything you aim it at, supercars, a SWAT tank, etc etc. It brings all that stuff from SA that realism had crushed, back to Vice City. Only thing missing is planes and the giant outdoors, but that's the map, different altogether. I kinda like having a full city too, they seemed really small in Vice and SA.
