I think part of the reason that article was unpublishable was that the writer switches between past and present tense multiple times within sentences...it's difficult to read.

EA ran BC2 on servers they knew very well would be unable to support the number of players and sold the game anyway. They're idea of fixing the problem is to get enough people to stop playing their game so the servers arent overloaded and those that remain have less lagg/connectivity issues.

Not unsurprising the first real version of Frostbite was inefficient.

My code always starts out inefficient as I'm jumping around fixing a million fuckin lil things, ripping stuff out, trying out new ideas, etc... then as I refine my code to what works I figure out how to modularize it, pull it out, and then I can reuse it, increasing code efficiency.

they're on a much much larger scale with a lot more people all working together.... making a fresh new game engine.

What I've seen of FB2 is impressive.

If they can't support the player base they're shooting for... then they are just shooting themselves in the foot.

All those CoD players who could potentially make the switch will return it, and go back to their comfort zone.... freeing up servers and then allowing me to play lag free anyways.

I would like to buy it for PC, but I highly doubt a 260 gxt is going to pull it. Maybe if I get a 580...I dunno, you guys are the tech experts...legos my ass.

If I'd have enough money to wipe my ass with it, I'd get a 4-way GTX 580 SLI setup just for BF3... And I'd still probably play more on the Xbox.

If i had ass-wiping money, id stand outside gamestop on release day and hand out free shit to distract anyone from buying BF3 at that particular outlet for a good hour or so.
