Haha, I dont remember. I didnt think there was a single reasonably sane person out there that enjoyed CoD.
I still don't.

A couple years ago that picture was switched around^^ but I'm done forking my money over to companies like EA, and Activision/Blizzard, who pump out substandard games on an annual basis... and come up with ridiculous incentive shit to get people to spend even more money on their shit... I'm actually kind of jealous of them... I know if I had a bunch of retards willing to pay out their ass for crap like that, I'd make as much money off of them as I could too.
ehh no offense to any of you who may be purchasing that stuff though... I'm just fuckin sick of it.

Crap? Really? I can agree when it comes to CoD, but BF3's been in development for like 5 years. And you consider it substandard?
Well it's not out yet, so save your negativity for a little while longer.
And what exactly do you play then Xy?

I find it fun. Even though the current CoD engine predates the Ice Age and the frameset hasn't changed since CoD4, it holds integral parts that keeps the franchise going rehash after rehash.
*Frantic FPS shooter where you can kill or die at any moment, set down your controller, drink, then pick it up because you just respawned. *It's "WookieMode" as in you can die relativity easy, yet arcady enough that it doesn't act like a simulator, which would deter most of the fan-base away. *Unlockables are plentiful and you don't spend a lifetime trying to get them all. *Decent amount of customization where people can make their own niche class/role and not feel generic, bland, or set in pre-defined limits. *A prestige system to give longer shelf life via e-peen status. (A gimmick that works quite well.) *Two different development teams to keep a moderation of freshness while keeping the core components.
Although, this is going to lose its charm sooner or later, most likely sooner because as with Halo Reach, the same mechanics are going to get old and tedious. So, either a new core mechanic is created, or the series ends, because it will quickly turn into a net loss, and end one way or another.

Certainly the production quality is high, but there's nothing different about their games... it's just the SoS re-hashed with different maps, nothing really amazing or anything. They just stick to what works, the games feel new for about a week before you realize it's practically the same as the previous installment with better graphics and perhaps updated mechanics... although like I said if I was in their position I'd be doing the same thing... Sticking to the tried and true methods... appealing to the lowest common denominator (I.E. the masses).
I don't really play much at all anymore... the last game I played was Fallout 3 about a month ago and that wasn't for very long (I still haven't completed everything in that game). I anticipated the release of Dragon Age II this year, but when I realized what a pile of shit it was, I became more cynical and pessimistic towards the gaming industry than I have ever been before.
The only game I'm looking forward to this year is Skyrim... after that I really don't know what I'll do as far as video games are concerned.
