| So last night I joined a game... to find myself completely alone in the server...
so I decided to try out some tests with QScoping (haven't since BC1) where I wanted to a) prove that movement affected bullet spread, and b) by what degree.
What I was shocked to find out is that even standing still, QScoping still resulted in deviation.
Which made me think of something I remember Demize saying on twitter: "The crosshairs never lie"
If you take a slugged pump shotgun, you can see the crosshairs indicating your bullet spread. If you aim they close up, but not instantly... they close quickly at first, then slow down as it nears perfect accuracy, until, after only a second or so, it's pinpoint accurate across the map.
I believe the same thing happens with the snippy riffle. When you aim, it doesn't magically give you instant steady aim accuracy, but rather gets more accurate quickly over the period of roughly a second.
Now, at ranges of 10-15 ft, it's not going to make a big difference, BUT some of the deviation I saw on a instant QScope or noscope would have caused me to miss. Holding aim a fraction of a second longer before firing resulted in a much smaller spread, and when held long enough for the scope to fully come up would result in a perfect shot (so long as I wasn't moving... I tested that as well btw, and the accuracy penalty for firing while moving, even a slow strafe, is enough to make you miss most distance shots.)
Just a few findings I thought I'd share.... seems qscoping is actually fixed (not that anyone needed it with slugged shotguns outperforming a damn qscoper)

| Welcome to the present, Ronin. Movement with the sniper results in a spread of 7 (scoped or not), along with the spread decreasing until it hits a perfect 0 when you're fully scoped in. It's been that way since the beginning of the game, actually. | |

lol @ quickscoping with an m24...and a 4x... Red dot is faster, m24 is slower and has less bullets than an SV98. You're a tool.

We monitor everything. yeah about that....it's not really 'we' at all, is it? no,It's more like 'me'. I'm the one following these fuckers around via their gps enabled phones and hacking their email accounts. I'm the one who has to do the graph charts of their masturbation activities over a quarterly period, I'm the one who has to time their bowel movements and calculate their lifespans accordingly...and what do you do? fuck all, you just say ''we monitor everything'' so that it looks like you're participating, well FUCK YOU.

| No more 1 hit kills in BF3 with snippy riffle. Unless it's a headshot of course. | |
