dude then last BO pack was AWESOME. Kowloon, Berlin Wall? FUCKING AMAZING MAPS. Stadium sucks though. But Ascension alone, if it were a standalone game like 1943 - a zombie game on that map, would be worth 15 bucks. So I'm pumped just for the zombie map and I'm sure at least one of those MP maps will be great, if not all of them.

I'm glad it's coming this soon too because my friends list is getting sick of BO slowly but surely and moving on to other games. LA Noire comes out in May too so it looks like a good start of summer!

Thats like paying 60 bucks to have the skin on the back of your hand slowly peeled off to the white meat (which I did), then paying another 15 bucks to have salt rubbed in (again, I did, I bought the 1st map pack, it is garbage, ESPECIALLY kowloon), and then paying ANOTHER 15 bucks to have a mutant spider lay eggs to fester in the infected puss.

How could all the people still playing BC2 still enjoy that? To me that defies-a the logic. BO continues to rock. It's got almost everything an FPS needs. Almost. BC2 has the guns part and it stops there.

I'll likely be getting it just for a continuation of the good times I have playing split screen with my mate. He always coming over for Bonding Sunday.

The gameplay is just like the other CoDs, which is to say, fun. Frantic and reflex-based, but fun.

It has theater mode, it has split screen support on consoles, it has some serious customization, the perks are logical and balance each other out (unlike the previous CoDs and other perk-based games), and killstreaks are finally logical where you can't just get Harriers and camp for a free nuke. You gotta actually be present for each kill for it to count as a killstreak, which means it's an "OH SHIT" moment when the enemy gets attack dogs and not just the normal run of every game.

It also lets you join local games which eliminate lag, and when glitches are found they are patched, and fast.

In fact the only thing I can see being blatantly wrong with the game is the extreme overpoweredness of the Famas and AK74u. They worked over the AK but it still seems to rape over the other SMGs, and the Famas is everyone's favorite gun and top death. I have like 5000 deaths from Famas and 5000 from AK74u, and the next runner up is the Galil with like 2000. That's a sign maybe the guns aren't balanced.

Other than that... amazing game.

It isn't like the other CoDs. It is like Modern Warfail 2 and a bit like CoD4. It feels totally different from the CoD1 and 2. The guns have no recoil, people have super jump round corner whilst hip spraying ability, the ability to call down death from the sky like an angry god and some fairly badly designed maps.

It is just generic crap they churn out year after year, all evolution has gone from the game and the evolution that has occured is in the wrong direction. CoD used to have good gameplay, that was lost long ago...

CoD1 and CoD2 are a long way in the past dude. Maybe that's what you have to come to terms with.

To me no game compares to Wolfenstein ET in any way, I even remember the graphics as being superior to most of what's going on today. Here's a screenshot.



Then I look back and I realize when I was playing that game that I was like 13 and had absolutely nothing else going on, it was my first FPS, I played it for a long time. The game wasn't great and obviously now is unplayable because it's so outdated yet still when I go back to it I have a good time just going over the maps that I grew up with.

Maybe that's what you're getting with CoD1 and 2. Nostalgia. You are like the equivalent of the old guys arguing about the old times when if you look at it objectively. Well, the flu doesn't tend to kill you anymore and remember dial-up?

CoD has become the mainstream... like Eminem, hollywood, and starbucks...

It caters to the masses, and it does a damn fine job of it.

However, as I am apt to point out... Popularity =/= Quality.

It's what most people want, so let em have it... but popular crap is still crap

I got bored of BO quick, not even worth the money. But I'm still having some fun with BC2, which I never thought I'd say again. I stopped playing it for like 2 months and just started playing it again, and it's still kinda fun, but I get bored after 2-3 matches.

I usually play 2-3 maps a session of BC2 still....

Lost my main "battle-buddy" which is really what has kept me from playing as much.

Still put in 68 hours last month between the 2 of us

That's crazy. I didn't put that much time into BO and I play it every day. And I have no job and school's a breeze.

Exactly, BO came out and I dropped BC2 to play it. Around a month later I had pretty much stopped playing it altogether and went back to BC2. I've fallen in love with it again despite its flaws.
Once you have played one Blops match you have played them all, in fact it was the same with most CoD games (yes even my beloved CoD2) eventually you start playing as a routine, always predicting exactly what will happen and when, its boring. BF is a lot less static and the game can differ wildly every time you play (not always for the better though...)

CoD needs more dragons. With cowboy hats. And mass relays.

I dunno bout the rest of these assclowns, but speaking for myself here, how much I like or dislike a game has nothing to do with its popularity.

I remember I used to be really heavy into Modern Warfail 2. 50k kills before I stopped playing it.

I started out so bad I had a .6 K/D up to about 5000 kills. Then once I caught on I started getting nukes all the frikken time and slaying everyone and I had a blast. Tried to get josh n simon to join in on the fun, but to no avail, CoD is for retards who cant play battlefield because they suck and need a simple, easy game to play.

Till I quit and got into BC2.

Then all the sudden they are pro Modern Warfail 2 players lol

Tried to make a grand re-appearance in Modern Warfail 2 but failed miserably, went like 2-12 to josh's 10-1 in SnD, failed to get a nuke in domination, and generally sucked, and thats my final impression of it, me sucking and someone else being good at it and its the same in blackops, I just suck and every single other person in the world is frikken reggie/god at it so therefore the game itself must be fundamentally flawed.

We played CoD4 too though Gut so we didn't refuse to join you on Modern Warfail 2. We just didn't have the game. We only thought CoD was inferior until BC2 came out. And until BC2 came out, CoD WAS inferior. You hated on BC2 as much as us you just decided to move back as soon as we got Modern Warfail 2.
